🍃 Trust Yourself Through Change

🍃 Trust Yourself Through Change

Change has a way of making us question ourselves.

Even when we know something needs to shift.

Even when we can feel that we've outgrown where we've been.

Even when part of us is ready for what comes next.

Uncertainty can make us look outside ourselves for reassurance.

What do you think I should do?

Do you think I'm making the right decision?

What would you do?

There is nothing wrong with asking for advice.

Sometimes the people who love us can help us see something we've missed.

But eventually, we have to come back to ourselves.

Because beneath all the opinions, possibilities, fears, and what-ifs, there is another voice.

Your own.

And learning to trust that voice may be one of the most important parts of moving through change.

🌿 You Have Been Listening to Yourself All Along

Think about how many decisions you've already made in your life.

Some were easy.

Some changed everything.

Some worked out exactly as you hoped.

Others didn't.

And there were probably a few you would make differently if you could go back.

But you're still here.

You've learned.

You've adjusted.

You've changed direction.

You've figured things out along the way.

Self-trust isn't believing that you'll always make the perfect choice.

It's knowing that you can meet yourself on the other side of whatever choice you make.

You can learn.

You can pivot.

You can begin again.

You can change your mind.

You can ask for help.

You can find another way.

Maybe trusting yourself has less to do with knowing exactly what will happen and more to do with knowing you'll be there for yourself when it does.

🍂 When Everyone Has an Opinion

Change often invites advice.

Sometimes before we've even asked for it.

People may tell us what they think we should do based on their experiences, fears, expectations, or ideas about what a good life is supposed to look like.

Their advice may come from love.

And it may even be helpful.

But their path isn't yours.

What feels right for someone else may not feel right for you.

That's why one of the most important questions during transition can be:

What do I think?

Not what should I think.

Not what would everyone else approve of.

Not what looks best from the outside.

What feels true for me?

The answer may not arrive immediately.

But asking the question creates space for your own voice to be heard.

✨ Remember What You've Already Survived

When we're standing in uncertainty, it's easy to forget how many uncertain moments we've already moved through.

Think back.

There was probably a time when you didn't know how something would work out.

A loss.

A beginning.

A move.

A relationship.

A career change.

A difficult decision.

A season when life looked nothing like you expected it to.

And somehow, you kept going.

Maybe not gracefully every day.

Maybe not without fear.

Maybe not without making mistakes.

But you moved through it.

The person standing here today carries everything those experiences taught you.

Your resilience.

Your intuition.

Your boundaries.

Your wisdom.

Your ability to recognize when something isn't right.

Your willingness to begin again.

You've been building self-trust all along.

🌱 You Don't Need the Whole Path

Sometimes we hesitate because we think we need to see the entire road before taking the first step.

But most of life doesn't give us that kind of certainty.

We see a little.

We move.

We learn something.

Then we see a little more.

Nature works this way too.

September doesn't need to know what winter will look like.

It simply responds to what is happening now.

The days shorten.

Temperatures begin to shift.

Leaves slowly prepare to change.

One season moves toward another without needing to rush ahead.

Perhaps we can allow ourselves to do the same.

You don't need to know exactly who you will be on the other side of a transition.

You only need enough trust in yourself to take the next step.

💎 Crystal Wisdom for Self-Trust

Crystals can become meaningful reminders of the qualities we are strengthening within ourselves during times of change.

Tiger's Eye is traditionally associated with courage, confidence, grounding, and discernment. It can be a powerful reminder to stay centered in your own judgment when outside opinions become loud.

Lapis Lazuli is often connected with inner truth, wisdom, and authentic expression. It encourages us to listen inward and honor what we know to be true for ourselves.

Smoky Quartz offers grounding energy during uncertain times, helping us reconnect with the present instead of becoming overwhelmed by everything that might happen next.

Choose whichever stone feels right to you.

Hold it when you're journaling.

Carry it when you're making an important decision.

Place it somewhere you'll see it.

And let it become a simple reminder:

I can listen to myself.

🍃 A Simple September Practice

Think about something in your life that feels uncertain right now.

Before asking anyone else what they think, give yourself a few quiet minutes.

Place your feet on the ground.

Take several slow breaths.

If you'd like, hold a crystal in your hand.

Then ask yourself:

What do I already know?

Sit with that question.

Then ask:

What am I afraid to trust myself about?

And finally:

If I trusted myself completely, what would my next small step be?

Don't worry about figuring out the entire future.

Just listen for the next step.

You may be surprised by how much you already know.

💙 A Note From Me

I think we sometimes imagine self-trust as this place we reach where we never doubt ourselves again.

I'm not sure that's what it looks like.

I think we can trust ourselves and still be scared.

We can trust ourselves and ask for advice.

We can trust ourselves and change our minds.

We can trust ourselves and have absolutely no idea how everything is going to work out.

Maybe self-trust isn't certainty.

Maybe it's the relationship we build with ourselves when certainty isn't available.

It's knowing that wherever life takes us, we won't abandon ourselves along the way.

September began in that strange space between seasons.

Something was shifting.

We didn't need to know exactly where it was leading.

We learned to give the transition time.

We allowed ourselves to adjust our balance as life changed around us.

And now, perhaps, we can enter whatever comes next carrying something even more important than a perfect plan.

Trust in ourselves.

The season is changing.

And so are we.

We don't have to be afraid of that.

We can meet what comes next one step at a time.

And when the path isn't clear?

We can listen.

We can adjust.

We can trust.

With love,
Tracey 💙
