Somewhere along the way...
many of us stopped wanting.
Not all at once.
Gradually.
Quietly.
We stopped dreaming out loud.
We stopped reaching.
We stopped trusting that what we wanted could actually be for us.
And we called it being realistic.
But was it?

💛 What Happens When We Stop Wanting
When life gets hard — and it does for all of us — wanting can start to feel dangerous.
If you don't want too much, you can't be too disappointed.
If you don't reach too far, you can't fall too hard.
It feels like protection.
But over time, that protection becomes a ceiling.
And you find yourself living smaller than you were meant to.
💛 The Shift — From Fear to Trust
Here is something I have learned and continue to practice:
Most of the doubt, the fear, the hesitation we feel walking into a room or starting something new — is happening inside of us. Not outside.
Many times, the world is not working against us as much as our fear tells us it is.
I know this because I lived on the other side of it.
There was a time I walked into rooms guarded.
Suspicious.
Waiting for something to go wrong.
And what I didn't realize then was that my expectations were shaping the way I experienced the world.
What we hold in our minds and hearts often becomes the lens through which we meet the world.
💛 Learning to Surrender Into Trust
The shift didn't happen overnight.
It began slowly.
Intentionally.
I started with a simple thought —
Everyone in this room is doing their very best for me.
The cashier.
The doctor.
The stranger holding the door.
At first it felt unfamiliar.
But I kept returning to it.
In my meditation.
In moments of awareness throughout my day.
And something remarkable began to happen.
People showed up that way.
Warm.
Helpful.
Kind.
Not because the world had changed.
Because I had.
💛 Surrender Is Not Weakness
I want to offer you an image.
I have four cats.
And of the four, there is one — Boots — who does something the others don't.
Every single time I pick him up, he surrenders completely into my arms.
His body goes soft.
Relaxed.
Fully trusting.
I can move him, hold him, and he never resists.
He trusts without wavering.
And when I hold him like that, I am struck by how sacred that feels.
To be trusted so completely is an honor.
It is humbling.
It is precious.
That is what surrender feels like from both sides.
And that is what it feels like to set an intention and release it —
to surrender into the possibility that things are working in your favor.
For your highest good.
Without gripping.
Without forcing.
Without fear.

💛 I Surrender Into Trust
For my wedding, I hired many people.
A caterer.
A musician.
A florist.
A hairdresser.
With each one, I described what I wanted.
And then I said something I meant completely —
"I trust you will do your very best for me."
And then I let it go.
The weekend was stress-free.
It was filled with joy and laughter and love and family and friends.
Not because everything was perfect.
But because I had chosen trust over fear.
That choice is available to you too.

💛 Crystals to Support Trust & Desire
Carnelian — reignites passion, courage, and the willingness to want again. It is the stone of motivation and creative fire.
Garnet — grounds your desires into reality and supports the courage to pursue what truly matters to you.
Citrine — the stone of abundance and optimism. It reminds you that good things are not only possible — they are coming.
Carry one, two or all three of these this month as a reminder that wanting is not reckless.
It is brave.

💛 A Practice for Allowing
Before you walk into your next meeting, appointment, or even a simple errand —
pause for just a moment.
Take one slow breath.
And silently set this intention:
"Everyone here is doing their very best for me. Things are working in my favor. I surrender into that truth." 💖
Then let it go.
Walk in with open hands and an open heart.
And notice what meets you there.
💛 A Note From Me
You are allowed to want things again.
You are allowed to dream.
To reach.
To trust that the life you are building has room for joy, for desire, for more.
Wanting is not greedy.
It is not naive.
It is human.
And when you pair it with trust —
when you set your intention and surrender into it the way Boots surrenders into my arms — something shifts.
The world softens.
And what you want begins to find its way to you. 🌊
